If an error appears in the backend of the website related to the social media feed, it usually means the password has been reset or the account has been disconnected. In this case, the feed needs to be reconnected.

 

Log into the social media account

  • First, log into the Instagram or Facebook account that needs to be reconnected in a browser.

Access the website backend

  • In a new tab, log into the WordPress admin panel.

  • From the main navigation, go to Instagram Feed → Setting.

Reconnect the source

  • Under Settings, look for the prompt to reconnect.

  • If the reconnect prompt does not appear, click the Add Source.

 

Authorise the connection

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to re-authorise the account connection.

Confirm the feed is restored

  • Once completed, the feed will appear as active in the backend.

  • Visit the front end of the website to confirm that the feed is displaying correctly.
